Biography

Vladimir Vahitov

Vakhitov Vladimir Alekseyevich was born in 1995 in Tomsk. In 2010 he successully graduated at the music school as accordion player. In 2016 he graduated at the Edisson Denisov Tomsk Music College in classical guitar. During his college years he was a soloist in the A. V. Zimakov guitar ensemble. Since 2016 Vladimir is collaborating with poet-songwriter Mikhail Andreev and is putting his poems to music. Since 2019 he is a student at the Institute of Arts and Culture at Tomsk State University, in opera-symphonic conducting, directed by V. V. Sotnikov. At present he is a soloist in Tomsk State University's a cappella choir, and he is leading the guitar orchestra "Blue bird" in Tomsk. He is also an awardee at several Russian and international competitions (both as a musician and a teacher), and laureate at the "Knight of education" competition. He has composed for a variety of vocal and instrumental ensembles and he has developed and elaborated a new virtuosic technique of guitar playing, using the so-called “reversed attack”, i.e. attacking the “left side” of stopped strings.
